1984 Ford Mustang GT350 4,942cc HO V8 Engine

Description

The car is finished in Oxford White over a Canyon Red interior, and power is provided by a carbureted 302ci V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Factory features include a TRX suspension, air conditioning, and a pop-up sunroof.

Each 20th Anniversary Mustang was finished in Oxford White (9L) with red GT350 rocker-panel graphics and bumper striping. Additional features include a unique air dam, Marchal fog lights, and commemorative badges on both front fenders.

The 20th Anniversary Edition featured revised damping and and spring rates, a larger front sway bar, and the addition of a rear sway bar. Metric-size tri-spoke wheels are mounted with 220/55R390 Michelin TRX tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs up front and drums at the rear.

A red monochromatic treatment is carried throughout the interior, including Canyon Red upholstery (D) over the front bucket seats and rear bench, door panels, and dash. The car retains a factory AM/FM cassette stereo, and further equipment includes tilt steering, air conditioning, and a pop-up sunroof, as well as a plaque affixed to the dash indicating this to be #4,920 of the limited-edition models produced.

Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer along with gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows just under 66k miles.

The 4,942cc HO V8 featured a single four-barrel carburetor when paired with a five-speed manual transmission as in this example, and it was rated at 175 horsepower when new.
