1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 6.2L LS3 V-8 engine

Description

Rotisserie frame-off restoration
6.2L LS3 V-8 engine
4L60E automatic transmission
Vintage Air
New custom suspension
Coilovers
Baer 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors
This custom K5 tightens up the gap even further, thanks to a 6.2L Chevrolet LS3 V-8 and 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission power team. The small-block V-8 is good for over 400 HP and 400 lb-ft of torque at the very least, and it packs a high-flow intake, billet serpentine belt setup and aluminum radiator for extra punch. A body-color-keyed engine cover adds an old school small-block Chevrolet disguise. Coilovers and a new custom suspension fights gravity with low-down style, and Baer multi-piston calipers put the clampdown on 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors to scrub off LS3-induced velocity.
Black paint and factory trim join a few mix-and-match badges to keep onlookers guessing. The custom cabin features a period-correct combination of factory goods from the Chevrolet truck and car lineup, along with subtle upgrades. Houndstooth bucket seats and a three-spoke steering wheel from the Camaro RS playbook complement matching red loop carpet. Digital gauges, a factory-look stereo and Vintage Air add contemporary high-tech entertainment and comfort. The Blazer rolls on 5-spoke wheels and redline radial tires as a nod to the original 1968 Hot Wheels lineup that featured shimmering metalflake Spectraflame paint and 5-spoke wheels with a distinctive red line that influences Hot Rodders and custom builders to this day.
