Description


The car was reacquired in 1992 and stored for 10 years before a two-year overhaul entailing a color change to black and rebuilds of its 454ci LS5 V8, three-speed automatic transmission, and rear end. Factory options include the Z15 SS Equipment Package, F41 Special Performance Suspension, and power-assisted front disc brakes. The Fisher body was originally finished in Metallic Rosewood with black stripes and featured a black vinyl top, though it was later repainted three times in two-tone bronze and cream, blue, and dark red respectively. Black-painted 15″ SS wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires made in 2002. Power-assisted brakes feature discs up front, and the master cylinder was replaced and the booster reconditioned in 2019.The interior was retrimmed with black seat covers and door panels as well as a matching headliner and carpets. Front bucket seats are equipped with headrests and split by a center console with a horseshoe shifter. A Clarion CD player has replaced the factory radio.Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline. Approximately 42k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.The 454ci LS5 Turbo-Jet V8 was rebuilt in 2003. Domed pistons were fitted along with new bearings and ARP connecting rod bolts. The cylinder heads were magnafluxed, the crankshaft polished, the cylinders honed, and the compression ratio set to 9.375:1. A 750-cfm carburetor was added and new wiring harnesses were installed.Power is sent through a rebuilt Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission with a 2,000-rpm stall converter, and the car was equipped with 3.31:1 differential from the factory.
