The attractive Mustang is also well-optioned with air conditioning, a tilt steering column, factory in-dash tachometer, power steering, power brakes with front discs, a center console, passenger-side electric clock and power-operated top. As a convertible model, the Mustang came from the factory with rocker-panel and wheel-lip moldings, glove-compartment lock and courtesy lights under the instrument panel. A follow-up to the highly successful and muscular 1969 Mustang, the 1970 model arrived with a sleeker, more European-looking front end, including the return to dual headlights and distinctive but non-functional dual scoops in the front-fender extensions.
