With so many other competitors, the convertible variant of the redesigned 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T was produced in understandably small numbers. As one of just 219 drop-top Coronet R/Ts produced that year, this premium-equipped model is also stunning in appearance. Under the dual-snorkel air cleaner is the 440 CI V-8 engine and 4-barrel carburetor backed by a Torqueflite automatic transmission. Power steering is also here. The one-year exterior design is painted in Bright Red with black convertible top, black bumblebee tail striping, R/T side scoops, dual chrome exhaust tips and power bulge hood. The matched black vinyl interior features high-back bucket seats and center console, floor shift, wood-grain interior accents, power convertible top, AM radio and optional in-dash tachometer. With 15x7-inch Rallye wheels, this car had an unmistakable look and represents the final year of the Coronet R/T in any form.
