1970 Dodge Challenger T/A

3.91 Drag Pak
Power brakes
Original interior
No. 677 of 977 listed in Chrysler Registry
Rallye suspension
Polyglas tires

The engine used for the racing series was a special 305 CI version, but street T/As got a unique 290 HP LA-design 340 small-block topped by three 2-barrel Holley carburetors. With your hand on the Pistol Grip shifter and a 3.91 final-ratio Sure Grip differential, it was a package created for action. This T/A came with power brakes and all featured a fast-ratio power-steering layout and Rallye suspension as part of its homologation equipment. Listed as No. 677 of 977 in the Chrysler Registry, the biggest visible change was the large black fiberglass hood with scoop, front and rear spoiler package, and side-exit exhaust with chrome tips. This example also features black T/A graphics, body-color mirrors, a flip-open gas cap and black vinyl top. Inside are black front bucket seats, the center console hosting the shifter, as-delivered paper tagging, radio and wood-grain trim appointments. The T/A may have been one of the most aggressive-appearing cars to emerge from the pony-car revolution and was noteworthy for its offset Goodyear Polyglas GT E60-15 front and G60-15 rear tires, mounted on Rallye wheels here.
