The RS/SS styling for the Camaro was by far the most deluxe at the time, and here it has evolved with a fuel-injected LS7 427/630 HP powerplant thanks to its Mast Motorsports Black Label engine. With temperature controlled by an Autorad-engineered core support and cooling package, 550 lb-ft of torque provides plenty of fun out the starting gate. The installation of a Tremec TKO 5-speed transmission with a Shift Machine custom billet shifter allows for spirited shifting throughout the powerband as the engine snarls out the custom-fabricated stainless-steel exhaust system. The stellar street machine was built around a Detroit Speed subframe with Corvette spindles and geometry, tubular suspension, Wilwood 6-piston calipers on 13-inch brakes, a Moser 9-inch rear end with composite leaf springs, and adjustable aluminum alloy shocks. Inside is a gorgeous custom handmade interior created in 1969 Camaro black and red colors, all upgraded with Vintage Air Gen IV, Scat Rally Procar bucket seats and Auto Meter Classic Series gauges. The sinister-looking exterior features Detroit Speed retractable headlamp motors with HID lamps, an Anvil carbon fiber hood, deck and spoiler, deep PPG base/clear paint and a set of metallic-finished Boss Motorsports wheels and modern low-profile tires.
