The mini tubs that make room for massive Nitto ultra-high-performance tires and Rocket wheels are seamlessly incorporated into the splatter-painted trunk area, which is also home to an Optima Red Top battery. Lift the hood to find a supercharged 6.0L GM LSA V-8 which, like the mini tubs, looks like the factory put it there. The V-8’s power channels through a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission to a stout Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.90 gears and positraction. The Camaro’s Pro Touring chassis is built with Ridetech tubular front suspension components and a 4-link rear with coilovers. Big Wilwood brakes, their red calipers peeking through the Rocket wheel spokes, ensure stopping power to match the V-8’s horsepower.
Like the exterior, the Camaro’s interior is a study in red and black, but with the proportions flipped: the bright red hue on the upholstery, door panels and dash pad is accented by the black steering column, black dashboard and black bezels around the Autometer gauges. Even the carbon-fiber treatment on the instrument panel, steering wheel and shift lever carry on the red/black theme. Driver comfort is bolstered by the Camaro’s power seats, power windows and the cool breeze blowing from the Vintage Air air-conditioning unit.
