1969 Alfa Romeo 2.0-liter twin-cam four

Description

Bodywork including removal of the door handles, badge mounts, marker lights, convertible top tie-down, and wiper arm holes before a single-stage repaint in black. Factory-style bumpers, Pininfarina rear quarter badges, and Hella H4 headlights with plexiglass covers were fitted along with a new windshield and body seals.

Alfaholics 15?x7? GTA-style wheels are mounted with Dunlop Direzza ZII 195/55 Star Spec tires. Brake work included replacement of the master cylinder as well as installation of AT calipers, stainless steel lines, Porterfield pads, and cross-drilled rotors. An Alfaholics Fast Road suspension kit with lowering springs, Koni shocks, and adjustable upper A-arms was fitted along with a Centerline frame stiffener kit. The wheel hubs and axles were rebuilt, while the wheel bearings and bushings were replaced along with the seals and limiter straps. A ZF steering box with new tie rods and a welded reinforcement plate was fitted.

Dynamat sound deadener was installed under new gray German square-weave carpeting and black door panels. Black GTS Classics Coppa seats with grey Alcantara surfaces were fitted with three-point retractable safety belts and new seat guides. A Pininfarina radio blanking plate was also installed, and the heater box was rebuilt. The trunk was coated in gray POR-15.

The replacement 2.0-liter twin-cam four is said to have been sourced from a 1974 GTV and rebuilt with new JE pistons, a polished crankshaft, Carrillo connecting rods, replacement bearings, a ported and polished cylinder head, and 10.5:1 compression. The camshafts, valve springs, guides, and gaskets were replaced and the oil pump rebuilt along with the SPICA fuel injection system, radiator, and airbox. A new water pump, fan, and engine mounts were added along with a polished valve cover. The battery was relocated to the trunk and fitted with a cut-off switch.
