1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 4-speed manual transmission

Description

302/290 HP Turbo Fire V-8 engine
Correct Z28 4-speed manual transmission
Hurst shifter
Ermine White exterior with Black racing stripes
Red vinyl bucket seats
AM radio
Power brakes
Goodyear widetread GT tires
Original owner's manual and keys
Under-rated at 290 HP, this engine would not begin to make serious power until about 4,000 RPM, at which point the car was capable of extremely solid potential acceleration and handling. To this end, it received a large Holley 4-barrel carburetor and was offered only with a 4-speed manual transmission, and this example has the correct transmission as well. We noted the factory made the car “more visible.” This, however, was simply a pair of small chrome Z28 emblems mounted on the front fenders and a set of optional rally stripes that went from hood to decklid spoiler. Covered in Ermine White paint with monochromatic black racing stripes on this car, you had no clue other than the idle sound, tire design and emblems. Once inside, this car exhibits its true flair with a bright red interior consisting of red vinyl bucket seats, red carpet, red dash appointments, a black-knob Muncie-logo shifter booted to the floor, AM radio, sport steering wheel and power front disc brakes. The suspension was tuned for cornering, and this car is fitted with Rally wheels and Goodyear Wide Tread GT tires. Sold with the original owner's manual and keys, this is a vehicle that harkens back to a unique era in American racing and street performance.
