The Roush powerplant features an iron block with 4-bolt mains, a forged steel crankshaft, forged steel H-beam connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, a Roush hydraulic roller camshaft and a custom 3-inch exhaust featuring coffin mufflers. Power is sent to the rear tires through a Richmond 5-speed manual transmission controlled by a McLeod clutch, limited-slip differential and a Moser 9-inch rear end that has been narrowed 5 inches. The tubular chassis is fitted in the front with independent front suspension featuring Aldan coilovers, and in the rear, a Moser triangulated 4-link suspension system with Aldan coilovers.
