The car is equipped with a correct FE 427 CI V-8 center-oiler engine, complete with a high-rise intake, inline 800 CFM Holley carburetors and custom ducted air box. The car’s original 427 block is included as well. The installed powerplant is backed by a BorgWarner 4-speed manual transmission, and Ford used a 4.57:1 rear gear with this combination. The result of a ground-up refreshing by GT Body Styles in San Jose, California, the car features the rare aluminum front bumper, Plexiglas side windows and fiberglass doors, front fenders and teardrop hood. Both seat and door interior components were recently reupholstered in NOS material, and the car wears production-correct Wimbledon White-style paint. As most enthusiasts know, all T-bolts were built without radios, heaters, sound insulation and carpet; these were stripped-down monsters whose sole focus was domination and racing-paper headlines.
