Finished in two-tone blue over silver, the colors are separated by polished trim with red-stripe detailing that flows through the famous “V” nose treatment. Front and rear Safari windows, along with swing-out back windows and sliding front windows ensure plenty of fresh air whenever it’s wanted. The bed floor has been polished and adorned with finished wooden strips, a jaw-dropping detail that will wow even the most jaded fanatic. The interior is new, with two-tone pleated upholstery covering the seats and custom carpeting embellishing the floors. A cool nod to nostalgic, an original Sapphire VI radio is set into the dashboard. During the restoration, nearly everything in the interior was replaced, from the seats and headliner to the carpeting and seat belts. Nestled in a fabulously detailed engine bay is a 1776cc engine with dual carburetors. Detailed to match the coloring of the Crew Cab, the engine is mated to a Freeway Flyer transmission, the combination of which allows for more relaxed, higher-than-average speed cruising, something anyone can appreciate. Meanwhile, countering the speed are an independent rear suspension, rack-and-pinion front suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes and the Volkswagen has been dropped and narrowed with 15-inch wheels. The undercarriage has been powder coated to further build on the detailing and provide years of protection. To be sold with a custom Volkswagen Beetle trailer, the little hauler matches the crew cab very well.
