Description
Fitted w/an upgraded 1800cc engine from a '73 MGB, it sends power to the rear wheels w/a fully synchronized 4-speed gearbox. This MGA was found in California and was the subject of a body-off restoration prior to being sold to its current owner. Pictures from the restoration show show a rust-free and painted frame along with its engine in the process of a rebuild. All seals, gaskets and front shocks were replaced and the generator was rebuilt. There's also a new starter so this MG starts effortlessly every time. The twin SUs were removed, disassembled and rebuilt and a new, negative ground tachometer was added. The mileage is believed to be original with approx. 5000 miles accumulated since the restoration.
The interior is trimmed in tan leather and shows excellent with no rips, tears or discolorations. A wood Moto Lita wheel complements the interior nicely and there's a custom wind stop to reduce wind on those open air days. All in all, this is a beautifully restored classic MG with enough of a power boost to provide a pleasurable driving experience.
