Description

Fuel Injected 283/250 HP engine
Rochester fuel injection unit
Powerglide transmission
Onyx Black with Silver and Black upholstery
Split bench seat
Heat and defrost
Tinted glass
Chrome hood spears
Gold anodized grille
Full size spinner wheel covers
Whitewall tires
This 250 HP engine was topped with a Rochester fuel-injection unit with a cannister-design air cleaner and hot orange paint. Detailing here includes the yellow-cap battery. Behind this was the Powerglide automatic transmission. The body is beautifully rendered in Onyx Black with Bel Air component trim, including chrome and polished rear-quarter inserts. The interior is upholstered in silver and black material, featuring the split front bench seat, Bel Air steering wheel, factory AM radio, heat and defrost, and tinted glass. The 1957 Bel Air model is noted for its chrome hood spears and the most serious rear fin design to emerge during these earliest years of production, both cues instantly identifiable to that model year. It also has the lowest production number of all 1957 Chevrolets. Complete with period-correct full-size spinner wheel covers over steel wheels and a set of wide whitewall tires, nobody will misunderstand what this stylish design represented.
