The 1951 Hudson Hornet Brougham Convertible was a cutting edge design at that time. Hudson was ahead of he market in updating there body styles after the war. Hudson's innovative design with the "step down" chassis allowed for the foot wells to be accessed between the widen chassis rails. The rear fender skirts were to designed for function not style. The model was marketed as the step-down Hudson, and the cars were only 5 feet in height. They were among the fastest, best handling cars around, with there low center of gravity. With the most powerful 6 cylinder on the market, it was soon campaigning on many race tracks, being victorious in six 1st place finishes on the Nascar circuit.
The 1951 Hudson was powered by a smooth, powerful 6 cyl engine and backed by a hydramatic transmission. The car has many exciting features such as dual spot lights, two piece front windshield, Power windows, Power top, convertible top cover, and more.
The car has been restored some time ago but has held up well. All of the power options appear to work including all the windows. The color keyed blue convertible is older but still is functional.
